Self Oscillating Choke Motor
This shows my ‘Choke Motor’ put into a self oscillating neon light driver. If the magnet rotor is held in a certain fixed position the reed switch will bounce at a high rate as the electromagnetic circuit is turned on and off. This causes the neon to light as magnetic field in the inductor collaspes. This jolt of energy (flyback) has high voltage but very low amperage. The device is being powered by a 1.5 volt AAA battery.
