Lightning vs Hum Motor

2 nearby strikes allowed an excellent duty cycle test ! Tests late last night, were to be for counter rotating magnetic fields. 2x Hum Motors were to have been used….simply coils connected to a wall adapter powering a magnet fitted rotor. But, we had a decent storm while one was running and the power went out for 1-2secs. The motor kept running. During the video, there’s another nearby strike and the lights go out briefly again…the motor keeps running ! What it showed, was the possibility for the duty cycle to have much less ‘on’ time and therefore the motor to use much less power in future experiments. All I needed was an early 20th century knife switch for the voltage and all would have completed the mad science look.
