Loop Antenna Tuner with a Joule Thief

This shows how a simple non-powered AM ‘loop antenna tuner’ can interact with the coils of Joule Thief. The loop antenna tuner consists of coils of wire with a variable capacitor in parallel. It is normally used to wirelessly enhance the signal strength for an AM radio. The Joule Thief circuit shown here uses steel metal wire phone cord for the coils.
