The Bedini Pulse Motor is an #electromagnetic motor invented by #John #Bedini. It operates on the principle of electromagnetic #induction to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. Here is a basic explanation of how it works:
1. Coils: The motor consists of one or more coils of wire that are wound around a core. These coils are typically made from magnet wire, which has a thin, insulated coating.
2. Rotor and Shaft: Inside the coils, there is a rotor made up of magnets or ferromagnetic material. The rotor is attached to a shaft, allowing it to rotate freely.
3. Power Source: To start the motor, an external power source, such as a battery, is connected to the coils. This power source provides an initial pulse or electric current to energize the coils.
4. Electromagnetic Induction: When the power source is connected, an electric current flows through the coils. This current creates a magnetic field around the coils. As the magnetic field expands and collapses due to the pulsing current, it induces an opposite magnetic field in the rotor.
5. Attraction and Repulsion: The induced magnetic field in the rotor creates attraction or repulsion forces with the fixed magnets or ferromagnetic material. These forces cause the rotor to rotate.
6. Recharge and Reset: As the rotor rotates, it completes one cycle, and the electrical contacts disconnect the power source from the coils. This prevents the power source from continuously powering the coils, allowing for energy recovery.
7. Reversal and Restart: Once the power source is disconnected, the collapsing magnetic field induces a reverse current in the coils. This reverse current charges the power source or another battery, essentially converting some of the mechanical energy back into electrical energy.
This cycle of induction, attraction/repulsion, and energy recovery continues as long as the motor is supplied with power. The specific design and configuration of Bedini Pulse Motors can vary, but this is a general overview of how they work.
