Hydraulicity 9: PerPump v. 2.0 w/ Active TinselZed, Head Test, Pressure Increase
Also known as the improved Fountain of Heron, with thanks to Mr Wayne, and of course, Heron of Alexandria (10-70 CE). Heron also invented the first coin-operated vending machine: a Holy Water dispenser. —————————————– Tested with complete TZ assembly, with just the right amount of “precharge” water and air, apparently. I wasn’t so successful in the next video, which means we can learn even more from failure than we do from success. In this demo here, though, I think there actually is a slight pressure advantage from having the full working TZ pod-riser in there with the different gas pressure chamber thing happening. The apparent advantage seems to last until the TZ riser assembly tops out (and manages to seal off the vent chamber because of the tight fit — see the next video.) In the next video I dissect the system and show how it’s made and assembled.
