Mechanical Joule Thief Charger
This is my little pulse motor run mechanically with a reed switch instead of the transistor circuit. This made things even simpler and allowed the second unused trigger coil to be converted to a charging coil. The setup runs on one AA battery and drives “Maggie” to produce light from two 3v Leds. That is also why I call it a “mechanical Joule Thief” —it bumps the 1.5 or less voltage up to 3 or more mechanically.
