Crystal Rocks Experiment

A simple enough idea, to put any old rocks in a small container with vinegar and see if crystal growth resulted.
It seems that regular quartzite and limestone do show results.

The method, is to put a rock in a shallow dish, perhaps gallon water bottle caps as I have done. Then fill the cap with vinegar. Leave it a couple of days and when the vinegar is beginning to dry out, add a drop or 2 of food colouring.

Perhaps conductive rock growth is possible, using graphene/graphite in the vinegar. Also perhaps piezo crystals can be grown with extra useful properties from growth within a graphite infused vinegar mix.
