Electric OU: Tar Baby is Eager To Please
Enthusiastic after the last Play Date, Tar Baby shows both almost completely undistorted oscillations, nearly perfectly sinusoidal waveforms using the 555-based voltage inverting charge pump system. Then, in another demonstration of the negative voltage charge pump, this time powered from the lowest battery in the running stack, Tar Baby produces nicely distorted oscillations, but with some that look very much like the “normal” ones we’ve been seeing. Perhaps the inverting charge pump needs a bit more capacitance. I used only 440 uF instead of the 470 specified for the two capacitors. But now I have some 470s that I’ll stick in there to see if it makes any difference.
