Up is OFF. That is, when the gate turns ON the mosfet turns ON too, and the DRAIN voltage goes to the negative rail. When the gate turns OFF the mosfet turns OFF too, and the DRAIN voltage goes UP to near the battery voltage. In other words, the “high” duty cycle at the DRAIN is the inverse of the duty cycle at the gate and the state of the load. Are you absolutely confused yet? Please be patient through my search for oscillations in the later part of the video…. like in a good horror movie, you know that they are gonna show up sooner or later and jump out at ya.
