The Stiffler Loop out in space

Title named from my repeated use of the same few words…it was late at night 🙂

See previous recent videos in this series, which explore Dr. Stiffler’s wireless electricity work. Also they show the Slayer Exciter circuit.
Special focus has been on replicating the SFM and now the new ‘Stiffler Loop’.

The 2 Slayer Exciter circuits are exactly the same, using C3198 NPN transistors, 170 turns of 28AWG on the L2 and 3 turns on the L1. A ferrite rod from an old portable FM radio sits fully inserted into the driving Slayer and another is adjustable on the receiving one.
Coil form is a solder tube, as are the other coil forms also shown in the video.
The trimmer capacitor on the driving Slayer Exciter is from a 1980’s circuitboard, so I don’t have a link to it, but is I think 1pF to 50pF. That sits across the Base and Collector of the transistor.
A cube shaped 1-512pF radio tuner variable capacitor can also be used.
Otherwise, it’s completely a stock Slayer, 22K from battery positive to the Base. A 1N4148 and LED in series from the battery negative to the Base.
