Simple Homemade Personal Air Conditioner— That Works!
Here is a small homemade AC unit that runs on USB power for the fan and pre-frozen cold packs to cool and dry the air. It’s sole purpose is to provide a cooled and dry breeze where I sit. It is not a room air conditioner. You need a refrigerator to make the frozen cold packs. You can use ice but I don not recommend it. If you are in a dry climate them simply putting wet sponges in the cooler will make an evaporative cooler out of this device. Just add some water from time to time. A hot and humid climate requires the frozen ice packs. The USB fan runs on 5.5 volts at 250 mA.
