Joule Thief on the Half Shell

This is Joule Thief made using a two part ferrite noise supression filter. The Joule Thief is wound up on one half shell and a secondary coil is wound on the second. When placed together a step up transformer is made. I show the device powering two blinking LED and a solar waving motor. The power source is a tiny solar panel from a solar waving toy. The modified Joule Thief (blocking oscillator) circuit is the same as found in my ‘Penny Oscillator’.
