Terrarium Motor
This shows a test setup for powering a homemade electric motor using a ‘crystal cell’ that I made in 2012. The cell is basically a galvanic battery that uses a solid crystalline electrolyte. When the cell dries out the chemical reaction between the magnesium and copper slows way down and so does the power output . By putting the cell in an unsealed glass container I am hoping to create a ‘terrarium’ like effect.
