Darlinton Pair Sun Runner– Pulse Motor
This shows a simple homemade electric pulse motor that uses a transistor trigger circuit called a ‘Darlington Pair’. A phototransistor, activated by ambient sunlight, sends a signal to the pair every time a shiny magnet passes by. The whole setup is run by one AA battery providing 15 Ma.
