Brushless Electrostatic Motor — No segment rotor

This shows a brushless electrostatic motor that has no segments on the rotor. The electrostatic forces act on a clear plastic bottle rotor that has a strip of aluminum foil tape rolled up inside it. The geometry of the bladed stator causes a rotation as the Coulomb force of attraction and repulsion act on the rotor.
