Scoposcopy: Inductance and Resonance Measurement 2

Here I show the use of the Function Generator, the Oscilloscope, and the Frequency Counter to measure the inductance of a newly wound coil.

The resonant frequency of a tank circuit is determined by looking at peak voltage response, and then the coil’s inductance is calculated by using an online calculator at

For comparison I show the readings obtained by the ProsKit RLC meter. The two values agree to within a couple of percent.
