Joule Thief: NE2 JT Converted to Wireless Power

I took the 10mH , 4-neon JT and removed the aaa battery it was running on and replaced it with the Simple Wireless Receiver with DC output. As you can see the system works quite well and the neon JT couldn’t be happier. I showed this same receiver, plus voltage regulator, running a different JT in a previous video. That one used a double, twinlead type antenna, and I don’t yet know if that antenna design beats this single loop. I think with careful design to make a transmission line out of it, it probably would outperform the one-turn loop of wire.
