Pendulum Rotor

A quirky way of transforming horizontal movement into rotational energy. The rotor is spinning due to the magnetic field interactions of the swinging pendulum and the magnets around the rotor (4x same face neo’s). There are a couple of very small magnets above the rotor, enabling only the tip of the needle to touch the ceramic tile, as a bearing. Very small perturbations in the magnetic field then enable the rotor to turn and not affect the pendulum movement to any discernible degree.. The circuit for the pendulum is based on one of sMartcreations2010’s SS1CC designs, with only the plug type coil collapse output as a change to his circuit. The mast of the pendulum is made from 3x the internal battery holders of $1 flashlights, with an Allen key through a straw as the top holder. 2x neo’s are in the ‘bucket’. It’ll run all day like this, back and forth and around and around 🙂
