CAT Exciter 3 – Fantasma, with a spooky voice !

This is the version 3 of the CAT Exciter circuit. D2092 transistor, hand wound 300 turn ferrite piece using approx 40 gauge from a 24V relay. It uses a 1000uF capacitor across the rails, instead of 2x470uF, but is otherwise the same as the version 2. It’s boxed up, runs from a 9V battery as intended in the original schematic and has the correct 10cm ‘Cats Whisker’ prongs, also as per the specification. This circuit was communicated to Italian friend Ciro in a dream, his grandfather showing the device in operation and supplying the schematic to build it. A part of the demo he was shown was the lighting of a fluorescent tube straight from the prongs – when I read that, I knew it to be an exciter circuit, similar to the Slayer Exciter (see GBluer’s channel). He was told that this device would allow them to communicate with each other. My wife and I took the Fantasma up to the local cemetery this afternoon, to try out that ability to communicate with the other side. In for a penny in for a pound 🙂 We took several devices, a K2 meter (with switch modification), an EMF meter etc. The visit was hampered by the wind…a recurring theme over the visit. On finding a good spot for as wind free as possible, we set up and began recording. The radio was set right down at the low end of the broadcast band, no station is received at that placement. We were discussing the Frank’s Box white noise and I commented how a noise source could just as easily be the wind. The tone of the radio
