Inductor Thief + Alum cell motor

I’ve not seen an axial inductor used to trigger the Base of a transistor, so built up a 1.5V mains bulb driver to see if it would work. Axial inductor is 100uH Transistor is a salvaged C5198 Toroid is from a PC power supply Bulb is 120V 2.5W Lights of America The bulb can screw in and out of the holder, which is from a table lamp. When trying to measure amp draw, the meter stopped the bulb from lighting and also showed random readings, nothing stable. Might well be the meter at fault or some resistance issue. If it counts, the AA battery is out of a well used R/C transmitter and not new. The bulb has been lit in tests, while building and testing it…so the draw won’t be too horrific. The two alum cells are doing well. Copper, galvanized steel and a 1:10 alum to water mix. The first one (erroneously called the second one in the video) can still power a 10mA load Joule Thief. The second one ‘APB2’ has plenty of power. It has 0.958V and 40mA available and both haven’t been recharged yet.
