Garden Light Charger results
Solar garden light experiments. Starting with several of these $2 lights from K-Mart, made by Westinghouse, the idea has been to both make them run more efficiently and to see into the backspike charging from the onboard Joule Thief chip. Loopsticks have proven to be highly efficient, especially when the radiated energy is captured and returned to the supply voltage battery. 29hrs of running the circuit, lighting and LED and charging a battery used just 4mv ! In fact, as you may have noticed, for several hours there run battery actually seems to have increased in voltage during the run.
