**1 Month Crystal Cell **

0.461V left, not 4.61V as stated in video ! This cell was considered as failed when made. It was supposed to be a stovetop heated mixture but returned 0.180V or similar. So, a couple of drops of Spic+Span cleaning spray were added to it and then it was sealed up in hotglue. The cell has carried on and on lighting the oscillator, for 4 weeks !!! Mix is pre-heated baking soda, alum and boric acid. It may not be a wondrous development for some people. but this is the first time that i’ve had such a cell last so long, while running a circuit. As can be seen, the LED is now flashing quite slowly and I do wonder how long it can carry on…but…the past few days have seen it stabilise to about 0.46V and stay there. The oscillator circuit is a ‘Penny’ type blocking oscillator. You can find the circuit on Lidmotor’s channel.
