Flyback Transformer 20 – 30 Kv
Sorry about the sound…I guess we all do that with these things. I wanted to say (clearly) that the transistor gets warm even with a big heat sink…having a sink is a must. Also, it discharges about 20-30 Kv estimated by the length of the spark. At the end of the video I was saying that I’m making another vid to show the HV output hooked up to a high voltage capacitor to show the difference in the spark…much juicier with the cap. The spark is more blue without the capacitor…more like lightning (white) with the cap.
