Inverting A Joule Thief

This is an altered Joule Thief circuit that runs a modified CFL on 12 volts at about 1 amp. The coil is wound on a solid ferrite rod instead of a Toroid shaped core. Three windings of 30 gauge wire make up the coil. Two 20 turn wraps and one over those of 450 wraps. Two small .047uf capacitors and one 20 ohm resistor were added to the circuit. This is a BEMF charging circuit but in the video a large capacitor is used instead of a battery to capture the energy.
