Understanding Orbo : Fine tuning of the stator coil position at the TDC

In this video you will notice that the toroïdal stator coil must be perfectly in line with the middle line of the magnets of the rotor at the TDC position. This tuning is very critical so as to get the…

More tests with Ossie motor as a potential self-runner. Now it’s 8 mags 4 coils and 2 RS. Running not that fast as with small 4 mags rotor, I guess the rotor’s too heavy. Will see, so far 20hrs with .01v drop.

More tests with bemf from setup similar to Adams motor with two Reed Switches as a breakers, bemf from coils getting back to bttry; this setup arranged more like an Ossie motor. Very economical run, running for days (6 already), but voltage is still de…

The "Ossie motor" v1.2 tested in closed loop and self-charging
The "Ossie motor" v1.2 tested in closed loop and self-charging

In this new version 1.2, I have reduced significantly the pulse current by adding two 22 ohms resistors in series with the ILS reed switches and removed the previous 2.2 ohms in serie with the coil. So, the coils are…

The "Ossie motor" self-running, self-charging in closed loop

Here this is the closed loop test of the “Ossie motor” based on Ossie Callanan design. This is a high efficiency air core pulse motor which runs in closed loop and self-charge its own 1.2 V NiMh battery pack. The…

Viscous Remanent Magnetization (VRM) measurement for the Steorn Orbo motor

The purpose of this test is to measure the Viscous Remanent Magnetization decay Vs the time of the toroïdal ferromagnetic core used in the Steorn Orbo motor v4.1. When the 1st rotor magnet lives the toroïdal core, the ferromagnetic material…
