Cranky Lid Motor
This is a simple electric motor that is rotated by ‘cranking’ the rotor shaft. I am using a reed switch to control the power to the solenoid rather than mechanical brushes. This was done to improve the reliability of the device. A full eclectronic controler perhaps using a Hall sensor would be even better.
