Pure Attraction Motor — using inductive proximity sensor

This is a simple homemade pulse motor that uses steel nuts on the rotor instead of magnets. An electromagnet pulls on the rotor steel nut as they go by and causes rotation. The triggering is done by an inductive type of proximity sensor. I also show a very simple oscillator circuit that I am studying in an effort to build my own proximity sensor. My homemade proximity sensor quest has not been successful but I have learned a few new things along the way.
