The Soda Bottle Experiment

This is a large plastic soda bottle used as a pulse motor rotor. It is a true ‘kitchen counter top’ build. No glue was used. The weak ‘refrigerator’ magnets are held on the bottle with magnetic attraction only. Foam mounting tape was used elsewhere to hold things together. The rotor assembly is a 10 minute build. The driver unit takes longer but is a simple reed switch device. Nothing fancy. If you are unfamiliar with them google –‘Reed switch electric motor images’ to learn how to make one.
