Power used is 130mA at 1.5V
Turning the 10K pot right up results in only a slight improvement in the 8W LED’s brightness, but amperage use jumps to more than 300mA

The 8W LED board is powered by both HV coil outputs. 1 wire goes through an L3 to an AV plug on the back of it, a ‘central hub’ wire goes to the heatsink of the LED board.

The whole table has a wireless field, if using a hand to hold the battery terminals on….guess who found out that output drops when adding magnet clips to the AA battery instead !

A .22uF-1uF capacitor would normally sit across the Emitter and Collector of the transistor, I have an LED there. No huge visible improvement was seen from trying several capacitors, so the LED was fitted to allow viewing the input level to the transistor.
It also allows a simple check that the circuit is working.

Output frequency is only 48kHz, but I simply wondered what the circuit may do and what sort of results could be obtained by building it.
