Thermopile Thermogenerator —- Powering a Joule Thief

This shows a fireplace ‘Thermopile Thermogenerator’ powering a Joule Thief LED light. The device produces electrical energy when it is heated to a high temperature. In this case I am using my kitchen stove but normally they use the pilot light of the device they control. This is not a ‘thermocouple’ that is just a sensor. This actually produces enough electrical energy to run small low powered devices.
