“The 8-Bit Guy” has a clever technique on his channel, for restoring vintage plastic cases and parts.
Hydrogen Peroxide and clingwrap.
This bottle is several years old but still worked and similar bottles are only $2 or similar new. Cheap and effective !
My idea with the box to put parts in seems to work well too.
