Mini Water Bottle –Pulse Motor

Here is a simple electric ‘pulse motor’ that uses a small mini water bottle as the rotor. The base is a tongue depressor, and paper clips are the axles. The small neo magnets were not glued but rather put on in pairs using attraction to hold them to the bottle. The driver unit is a coil of wire, a 3v watch battery, and a reed switch to trigger the circuit.
This would make an excellent science class school project. I calculated that this motor should run for many days on a AA 1.5v battery—–long enough to win a prize at the science fair.
