This shows a simple electromechanical device I made. I built it to experiment with varying the magnetic field of a permanent magnet by pulsing an electromagnet. In building this I was forced to reexamine the basic laws that the govern it’s activity. The famous Maxwell equations (laws) define it. Even though my days of understanding the calculus equations are over, I was able to find videos that helped me understand the basic concepts.
