Misc. Circuits: TKs EMJ-Meyer Build Demo 2 — HV Adverse Event!
I put together a 555 timer circuit to drive the EMJunkie main board with Parnter Coil set at about 1.7 kHz to eliminate the need for the FG.
I’m now using a bipolar Horizontal Deflection Transistor, NPN, 2sd2539, in place of the mosfet I used in the previous video.
The circuit lit up 30 neons in series… for a few seconds. (Of course I was running it without problems before the video!) Now I think that the coils are shorting internally from the HV, and I’ll probably have to rewind them.
