Simple Speaker – Happy New Year !
A very simple speaker, tested with different magnets.
Not completely awful output, considering it’s just from an earphone port.
The dimensions of a coil do matter and would affect output….this was just a quick vid to test with various magnets here. Main thing, is enough turns to not seem to be a short circuit to the player device (16 or 32 ohms being usual for headphones). On reading about similar speakers, several people had ruined their audio gear !

This is probably the last video that our 4 year old Kodak Mini camera will likely shoot…there’s a Philips CAM110BK on its way from California. Record time has reduced to about 2 mins on a full charge, the buttons are somewhat trashed, the USB connection is very worn and there has been an annoying dot at the top/middle of later videos.
The iPad playing Auld Lang Syne was a kind gift a short while ago, junked due to charging problems. The fix that I worked out, is to plug in a 2A Apple charger and then switch an old Generation 1 iPad completely off. It will then charge fully in about 8hrs. If a charger is plugged in after switching off, they are likely to want to boot up again. That could be missed, as they then go into hibernation mode quite quickly and won’t charge like that.
