Lidmotor’s 90 degree dancing rotor

An experiment was posted yesterday by Lidmotor and this is my version…getting a dancing toy to spin a rotor around at 90 degrees.

Used here is a dancing scarecrow (from Dollar Tree).
The rotor is made from a bottle top, with 4x tiny neodymium magnets around it, all poles facing the same direction.
The batteries keep the tower from falling over and magnets on the stick keep the rotor from falling over.
It works very well once things are set up.
The rotor is first spun by hand slightly and then when it balances down to the speed of the scarecrow movement, it carries on.
