Micro Solar Oscillator

A side project to see how small of a solar panel can be used to run an LED oscillator.

The aim is to keep decreasing the size and to find ways of neatly cutting the little pieces, such that a tiny panel will also look tidy on a finished project.

The solar panel pieces here are monocrystalline, bought from Silicon Solar online as bits in 2x 1lb bags.
This is a further use for the bits that have been too small to use in conventional panels.

Projects such as my Ha’Penny oscillator are of a similar size and use an I/R LED to collect the solar energy, but with bits of panels spare, this has been a fun project so far 🙂
