Joule Thief: Scoping the Output of the 10mH NE2 JT

I unhooked one side of the NE-2 and removed the voltage measuring capacitor, so this is the “no load” measurement, if you consider the rectifier diode part of the JT circuit, which I do. However, technically the diode is a load on the basic JT circuit. I misread the knob setting on the horizontal timebase: it’s clearer in the video than it was in person, so you can see that the left spikes are displayed at 0.1 millisecond per division, not the 1 ms like I said. The expanded spike is at 1 microsecond per division, at least I got that right, and it’s 3 us wide at the base. The peak voltage is a hair over 520 volts, on an input of less than 800 mV.
