All Stainless Steel Homemade Battery

This shows a homemade battery made out of two inexpensive stainless steel table knives. A red lead paste is coated onto the knife blades and an Alum/distilled water soaked paper towel is used for the seperator. The cell was formed up using a 6 volt battery and then slow charged using 3 volts. This was only an experiment to see what would happen and I was actually surprised that it worked. I do not think that the cell will last very long because the positive plate appears to deteriorate. Perhaps a different electrolyte mixture might help.
