SJR 3.0 Replication

Great video from Lasersaber today, so i’ve built one. See original video here: www.youtube.com This replication of the circuit uses a C4793 transistor and nothing else but the ferrite based coil. 200 winds of 32 gauge, 90 winds of approx 22 gauge. 1W LOA LED bulb Ni-CD drill pack at 5V (tested after video) Amp draw 150mA. Everything except the clip leads and bulb are salvaged items. A C4439 was more efficient at 7.2V and in fact used exactly the same 60mA when on 3.7V, which was surprising. Light output was comparable for both. The drill pack needs a use though for drain tests, so the lesser voltage made the C4793 preferable at the moment for the brightness given. The drill pack was stone dead at 0.00V for literally years, til the other day. I’ve used a self designed low light Solar Pulser circuit to bring it back (example: 4V = 54V spikes)…something which may be furthered if it continues to break through the dendrites of this pack.
