Electric OU: Measuring Bias Current from PS with Inline CVR

The bias current from the Elenco regulated power supply is used to set up the oscillations in Tar Baby and the waveforms strongly suggest that a negative mean power product would be obtained, as has been done previously. Then the voltage drop across the 10.3 ohm series resistor at the potentiometer wiper is monitored on the oscilloscope, and a DC current with superposed ripple is observed. The magnitude of the DC current agrees with the value displayed on the simple cheapo inline DMM at the main battery negative rail. Would a function generator also behave this way? The FG acts like a power supply but not a voltage-regulated one. Stay tuned for more interesting results as Rocky and Bullwinkle meet Boris and Natasha for a good soaking. In the hot tub, of course.
