Electric OU: Amplitude of Oscillations on Battery Trace

Showing the amplitude of the oscillations on the battery trace of Tar Baby, running in negative gate drive pulse mode and heating the load. The battery is monitored at the positive terminal, right at the battery. The oscillations are shown on the battery trace and the CVR trace. The amplitude of the oscillations depends on the drive from the 555 timer or the function generator. Here they have no problem reaching over 100 volts pp indicated on the scope. This is similar to or even greater than what the NERDs have shown in the same operating mode. So another objection concerning the behaviour of Tar Baby is demolished at the source. Of course… the battery voltage is not really doing this. We are looking at an effect of lead inductance, and it most certainly is not recharging the battery nor preventing it from discharging.
