Amazing light with low power toroid transformer 1.wmv

Making a small break with my high voltage testing, because i fried a lot of things and have to think a bit, i stumble upon a thread at OU from Sergdo, which seems promising. So i did a test I took a 56mm diameter ferrite toroid (covered with blue epoxy) of mine, which fall down and separate in 2 almost exact halves. So it was very easy to wind. I think a TV joke will probably work also. The drawing of Sergdo’s thread, shows very clearly the direction of winding and connection. Well done sir. As i do not speak or read russian, i decided to put 500 turns for each of the secondary, and 20 turns for the primary. I don’t know if this as already be done by the Joulthiefers or julringerer, but i am puzzled by the lighting i got for a 0.6 watt input. And if we look at the thread of Sergdo, it seems that he can melt some metal with about 20 watts ?? I think it is interesting to share this info, and especially because i did it in 1 hour about, and got imediately a result. The tuning seems very important, so guys at the bench. good luck at all and thank’s Sergdo for sharing Laurent
