Power Pill – 6 water powered oscillators

Description: 6x LED oscillators, running from the powered generated by 1 source of water. The top of a coffee jar has plain water in it and the electrodes, made of galvanized steel and copper are within. The galvanized steel forms the Pac-Man shape and the copper discs the power pills. Each circuit is to the ‘Penny’ type that Lidmotor showed some while ago (see his channel for details). This experiment is a bit of fun, but shows how much power can be derived from water on its own 🙂 The 3 oscillators on the left side use 2SC1815 NPN transistors, the 3 on the right use KN2222A NPN transistors. All components have been salvaged from old electronics and hence why the inductors look different on each circuit. Number 2 needs different inductors and probably the rate resistor changing, as can be seen by the slow flash rate. The bigger the inductor the better – 200uH and upward.
