Leedskalnin effect – with ferrite

Ed Leedskalnin built Coral Castle in Florida…a magnificent achievement of moving huge blocks of stone to create his house and garden. Nobody really knows how he did such a thing, but one of the forces often replicated within his magnetics work, is the clamping effect, when a power source is used on two coils. A piece of metal is placed on top of a U-shaped piece of metal, which has the coils wound on it, then the power is momentarily applied and the metal will stick, like an electromagnet would do…forever ! Here, i’m using ferrite, from some transformer or flyback or other, that is in a U-shape. The effect is very much still present. The coils are unmatched, roughly wound and made from some spare multi-strand wiring. I was surprised that it worked at all.
