Muller Dynamo– generator coil shorting test.ASF
This a generator coil shorting test using my Muller Dynamo. A very simple circuit using a transistor and a trigger coil is used to short the generator coils for an instant in the generation cycle. The trigger coil is moveable to adjust the timing of the event. I got this idea from from several sources but Patrick’s setup was the most inspiring . This was a very interesting experiment but I did not draw any real conclusions from it. A precision device with a better testing setup is really needed. The timing and the duration of the coil shorting event appears to be very critical.
