Sterling Allan’s Piano Composition: Tesla Awards Ceremony Theme

On March 2, 2011, I finally got around to having my wife record me playing this tune that I composed and have been playing for years. It is recorded at my parent’s solar home www.allanstime.com , which we’re considering imitating for the renewable energy home we’re planning to build soon AllansSustainableHome.com (once one of these free energy technologies kicks in big-time, and we get some money). I played an embellished and elongated version at my Niece, Rachel Owen’s wedding about five years ago. At that time, it went on for around 30 minutes, with hardly any repetition; making stuff up on the spot, as I play by ear. I do that a little in this recording in the middle. You’ll see where I even make a mistake (right when the camara aims down on my hands from above) and then improvise to make it sound like I did it on purpose. It’s not perfection, but I enjoy playing. I’m proposing that a variation of this be used for the awards ceremony that will take place June 24, 2011 at the MGM Grand in Vegas as part of the http conference, expo, and show that I’m helping to organize. You can read more about that conference on our feature page at: peswiki.com If you want to hear more of my music, I posted quite a bit back in 1998 at www.greaterthings.com The quality is subject to your sound card, as these are midi files. Be sure you listen to “Hey Val”, which I recorded in 1993 for the niece of now Utah Governor. She was too tripped out by my being excommunicated from the LDS Church
