Is this displayed motor a real Orbo motor ?? The yellow current curve is completely flat on the top, as Sean said it should be.There is no back emf. The toroid core is a ferrite F-87A-H. permeability is15000. It is a magnetically very soft ferrite. Each coil has 200 turns of 23 AWG copper wire, 26 ft long. Each coil resistance is 0,5 ohm and the inductance of each coil is around 640 mH. When the motor runs, the total inductance of the 4 coils is between 2300 mH and 2400 mH. With an imput of 6,5 volt at 100 mA = 0,65 Watt it runs with a dummi load 500 rpm, without a load 1000 rpm. Without a load the current pulses rise very sharply upwards. With a very very low power imput 0,6 volt and 3 mA = 0,0018 Watt = 1,8 milliWatt it runs 75 rpm. Yes! Btw. I am a member of the association DIFØT. ( Danish Institute of Ecological Techniques).
