Daftman’s 1 AA LED Light—-My replication
This is a replication of the “Daftman’s” one AA battery LED light circuit. It was posted at the “Teep” forum and shows another way besides the ‘Joule Thief ‘ circuit to boost voltage high enough to light a 3 volt LED off of a 1.5 volt battery. I modified the circuit by adding a charging point just past the LED where a second battery can be placed. This circuit uses a small part (looks like a resistor) called an “inductor” instead of the toroid coil used in the Joule Thief circuit. In this video I also show a small transformer added to a standard Joule Thief circuit that drives a small flourescent tube. The tiny transformer is placed between the LED and the charge battery in the circuit.
