Pirate’s Bedini Replication

This is my Bedini SSG motor replication. It runs on 9v rechargeable batteries. The rotor is a vcr head and I used 4 neos facing south pole out. The coil is Lidmotor’s “transformer” style bifilar coil. The main change I made so far is to have a threaded rod that allows me to very accurately adjust the gap between the rotor and the coil. The core is made up of iron nails and epoxy. The nail were longer than the coil so I used a 35mm film case to hie the ends that stick out. I believe the additional mass of the core helps me a good deal. Someone else on Youtube had their core sticking out so I borrowed that design. The transistor is the 2N3055 and the circuit is Bedini. I used Introvertabrate’s very good instructional videos to begin my project, so a big thank you to him for taking the time to make them. Once again, I thank all of my friends here on Youtube and also on Overunitydotcom for their patient assistance. My next step is to explore using the joule thief circuit to drive this set-up.
